Giant Panda are currently on the endangered species list with only about 1800 still living in the wild. The only place where they still live in the wild is the Yantzee Basin Region more specifically in the Gansu, Sichuan, and Shaanxi provinces. High up in the mountains near bamboo forests. Due to efforts by the WWF and the Chinese Government there numbers have been on the rise since there numbers were below 1000 in the 1970s.
